Glasgow graphics group Locofoco has designed a corporate identity for a furniture design group called LWD.

Specialising in products made from galvanised steel which are to be sold flat and constructed without additional materials by the use of interlocking devices cut into the metal, LWD is to work with Javier Mariscal on the Spaniard’s interior design of Glasgow’s Lighthouse project.

Locofoco’s graphic solution is based on the idea of folds, cuts, assembly and technical data – the key elements that make the furniture unique.

The incomplete letters LWD feature on all literature in green and grey. Each item is designed so that if it is rolled up the lwd type will form the complete identity when joined together with another piece of literature. Locofoco is now working on packaging for LWD’s products.

Locofoco has won a paid creative pitch to design the logo for a new funding agency, Scottish Screen, which is an amalgamation of local bodies supporting film.
