South Bank competition

Designers are being invited to enter a competition for the design of 64 giant banners for London. The banners will be hung along the new tree-lined boulevard which is being created along the South Bank arts area.

Artists and designers of all ages can submit designs for the 6m by 1.4m banners. Each winning design will net its creator 1000.

Supported by the Arts Council of England Lottery Fund, the competition is organised by the South Bank Employers’ Group.

The closing date for entries is 16 May. Entry details are available by sending a sae to The Public Art Group, c/o South Bank Employers’ Group, 99 Upper Ground, London SE1.
