Elmwood has created a new identity for the internationally renowned contemporary dance company Phoenix. The vibrant style of Phoenix productions is represented in the new identity, says an Elmwood spokesman. An X-rayed hand has been digitally reworked to create an image of a bird rising from the ashes and also represent the ‘fundamental ingredient of the dancer, namely the skeletal form’. A logotype is designed to link with the image. The identity is being applied to posters, programmes, T-shirts and stationery.
