QED acquired by Sheppard Day

Corporate communications specialist Sheppard Day has completed the acquisition of branding consultancy QED for an undisclosed sum, following a strategic alliance between them during the past two months.

The London groups decided to join forces after recognising common ground on the provision of marketing solutions to target markets. The new company will offer “a more holistic service” to its client base, says Sheppard Day chairman Peter Sheppard.

All three QED directors – Jeff Woolnough, Phil Stracken and John French – have moved to Sheppard Day, as well as senior designer Jane Cherry.

“We have strengthened our offer with the addition of this specialist branding discipline, with specific skills in brand creation and identity management. This now broadens the scope of the services that we are able to offer and complements our existing client base by adding such names as Holsten, ICI Dulux, Jose Cuervo International and Thomson Holidays,” adds Sheppard.

“The opportunities for cross selling between our core disciplines will be greatly increased allowing us to continue to improve our service even further,” he adds.

Sheppard Day’s existing Westminster office will provide a base for the combined 40-strong team, with photographic and design studios, plus full production, reprographic and interactive media facilities under one roof.
