Weatherbys, a horse-racing administrator since 1770, is launching a travel service division tomorrow, branded by Bluegreen Design Consultants.
The client group, which also includes a registered bank, a publishing arm and provides financial and insurance services, will use Weatherbys Travel to target the racing industry, particularly racehorse owners who travel abroad to places such as the US and Dubai. It promises to supply all the relevant elements of a travel package under one roof.
The logo has been applied across all marketing material as well as flight tickets, brochures, insurance documents and other printed literature.
Bluegreen director David Short says it was important to reflect Weatherbys’ traditional values as a company “while at the same time looking contemporary, as the travel market is fast moving.
“The winged horse Pegasus reflects the traditional style and look of the existing Weatherbys corporate logo, so we commissioned illustrator Amanda Waite to produce a scraper board illustration to add some vitality to the logo,” adds Short.
