Paris Panda creates identity and online push for Live at Leeds

Paris Panda has designed an identity and microsite for music festival Live at Leeds, ahead of its design of the full site in the new year.

The digital consultancy was appointed in October on the strength of its work with record label Dance To The Radio, which is affiliated with the event.

The identity has been worked up from a previous marque used by Live at Leeds, and uses a block Pop Warner typography overlaying concentric sound waves which have been applied to both animated and static logos.

‘Our brief was to work up a version of the old logo, keeping it recognisable – so we were guided by the client,’ says Lisa Hibbert, client services director at Paris Panda. The new site will be worked up when the festival line-up is announced in January. Hibbert says, ‘There’ll be an integrated blog and data capture through links to Twitter, Flickr, Last FM, Facebook and MySpace.’

Digital festival LSX will collaborate with Live at Leeds on public interactive projects involving design and digital consultancies when the two-day event comes to venues in the city in May.
