Heated bus stops in Bradford

Waiting at cold bus stops could become a thing of the past if a scheme in Bradford takes off.

Heated bus stops incorporating music triggered by the colour of waiting people’s clothes as well as digital artwork are to be installed as part of Bradford’s bid to become the European Capital of Culture in 2008.

Bauman Lyons Architects is designing the shelters, Forced Entertainment will create the digital displays and Greyworld is installing hidden colour-recognition cameras.

The shelters follow identity work for the bid by Elmwood.
