Springpoint into region of China

Springpoint is opening offices in Shanghai and Beijing in the next few months and is looking for a chief executive officer and several other staff for Shanghai.

The Shanghai office, which opens in the next few weeks, will be fronted initially by Springpoint Asia managing director Michael McComb, who also heads its Hong Kong office.

Springpoint will be working with national and international brands in China, says chief executive Fiona Gilmore. Regional Chinese brands are only just gaining national, let alone international, leverage so it’s ‘exciting’ to be there, she adds.

Luxon Carrà merged with Springpoint in October (DW 25 October) and the consultancy will be known as Springpoint globally after an adjustment period of a few months, Gilmore says.

‘We will take local sensitivities into consideration before changing our name everywhere,’ she adds.
