The Design Agenda does focus on the bigger issues

I am called, along with others, before the House Un-ethical Activities Committee convened by JoAnne Steele (DW 13 December).

She presumes that everyone must agree on the ‘big issues’, and shows her command of these by attacking our ‘strange de-politicised vestigial quasi-Marxism’.

It’s true, we failed to issue a long-awaited call warning designers not to work for cigarette companies. But instead, we have held well-considered and well-received conferences on a variety of topics.
