Vivid colours for White Paper

Excellence in Schools, the new Labour Government’s first White Paper which was launched on Monday, was designed by Lloyd Northover Citigate.

The consultancy, working for the Department for Education and Employment, also designed a summary of the White Paper which includes a questionnaire to seek parents’ views. The suite of literature also includes a leaflet. The full White Paper is going to every school and the summary version is being distributed via supermarkets.

Lloyd Northover Citigate consultant Jane Piper says: “The use of vivid colours is partly designed to create an identity for the Excellence in Schools theme which will help to build instant recognition and draw people’s attention to future White Papers and related communications.”

A DFEE spokesman says: “The impact of the design will help to engage the interest of schools and parents.”
