Jamie Reid inspires Red Design

Sex Pistols designer Jamie Reid is the inspiration for Brighton-based Red Design’s front cover for a CD compilation released by the Hotel Pelirocco. One of Brighton’s original ’boutique’ hotels, the Pelirocco is known for its retro and bespoke interiors, with rooms inspired by faux-nightclub crooner Lenny Beige and the film Quadrophenia among others. The theme for the CD package is ‘the dirty weekend’, say Red Design partners Ed Templeton and Hamish Makgill, who also produced stationery, brochures and on-line work for the hotel. The CD features tracks from the likes of Primal Scream and Dusty Springfield.
