Safeway makes design job cuts

Safeway has slashed its in-house design department to just two staff members, industry sources suggest this week. Packaging design controller Ian Welsh is understood to be among those leaving the supermarket in the next few weeks.

Groups working with Safeway say they have been asked not to comment on the redundancies.
