Camden Food Co gets fresh look from Yard Creative

Organic and fresh food snack company Camden Food Co unveiled its new-look store at Liverpool Street Station at the weekend.

Designed by The Yard Creative, the retail space includes bright colours and outside seating. It is the first offering for the chain from the consultancy, with more designs rolling out in coming months across London and the Home Counties, according to The Yard’s creative director Steve Royle.

‘The aim was to make the brand stand out in a cluttered environment and make it as attention-grabbing as possible because the site is placed away from the station’s main concourse,’ says Royle.

This explains the strong use of lighting and the bright colour-scheme which consists of ‘lime greens, fuschia pinks and rich yellows’. An outdoor seating area has also been created to lure passers-by into the food outlet.

The design consultancy has created the designs for the menu boards, signage and uniforms. It is applying the current Camden Food Co identity that was created by retail design consultancy Astound, which folded in 2007, to the Liverpool Street site.

The Yard was appointed by Select Service Partners, the operator of food and beverage brands in travel locations, which owns Camden Food Co, 18 months ago.

The Yard has created several retail spaces for SSP group brands, including Burger King at London Euston station.
