The museums of the future will create a dialogue…

Regarding your Voxpop asking about the museum spaces of the future (DW 3 July), for me what is significant about the public gallery is that it is reflecting the way we as a society are engaging creatively with systems, rather than just interacting with them. The individual pieces of work are only a system – like all social networking sites – and the content comes from its users.

I see these approaches being applied in pure experience form in galleries, and this will certainly permeate into more informationally driven environments such as museums, because they are fundamentally engaging – particularly to an audience that is used to dialogue rather than monologue.
