The self-promotional corporate brochure for Scottish design group Lawrence Associates uses images produced by photographer Alaisdair Smith. The brochure was printed using the hexachrome process to produce the brightest colours possible in print. The images in the brochure are enhanced, enriching the colours. The results are energetic and vibrant.

The corporate brochure for independent wholesale courier company Bridges Worldwide Express was designed by Luxon Carr. The abstract photography by Rocco Redondo uses coloured shapes and lighting effects to express the company’s benefits in a dynamic way. The images differentiate Bridges from the generic and overused images of parcels, people and planes.

Photographer Neal Wilson created the ‘video wall’ images for the BP/Amoco annual report, designed by Pauffley. Following the BP and Amoco’s merger, the designer and photographer were faced with the challenge of making an enlarged board of 21 directors look visually exciting. The ‘video wall’ effect was influenced by the electronic/information technology theme of the report.

Holmes & Marchant International designed the point-of-sale material for Marks & Spencer’s Wine Shop 2000. Photographer Marie-Louise Avery shot the images for this project, creating a fresh and spontaneous series of information postcards about different types of wine on offer.
