Tutssel picked for Enterprise IG post

Glenn Tutssel has assumed the role of executive creative director at Enterprise IG’s London office in a bid to raise creative standards within the WPP-owned branding giant.

Tutssel has taken a creative lead within the consultancy, particularly on the packaging side, since his group Tutssels went under the Enterprise IG banner in 2001. In his new guise, he will be responsible for the branding and packaging sides of the business and about 40 to 45 creative staff.

Creative directors Shane Greaves and Steve Haggarty will report to him on the corporate and ‘experience’ sides respectively. A third creative director, yet to be appointed, will fulfil the same role in packaging.

‘I want to build an award-winning culture [within Enterprise IG],’ says Tutssel. ‘I have to instill a structure and give [the designers] client responsibility.’

Tutssel is working on a year’s rolling contract since he completed the earn-out last year from the sale of Tutssels to WPP as part of The Brand Union in 1999.

n Enterprise IG has also initiated a round of redundancies at its South African offices. Eight staff have been axed from the consultancy’s main Johannesburg office, and one further job has been lost from its office in Cape Town. The cuts do not extend to the UK market, confirms a spokeswoman for the group.
