The great and the glamorous rubbed shoulders at Selfridges’ Tokyo-Life opening party last Monday, ironically staged on the eve of anti-capitalist demonstrations in London’s Oxford Street.

The mix was amusing, mingling pseudo celebs, such as Nicky Haslam, with more ‘serious’ graphic designers such as North, Johnny Barnbrook and Tomato.

Our favourite star of the evening though was Bread-Man – Japanese artist Tatsumi Orimoto, who dresses up in loaves and buns (pictured).

Wearing oversized papier mâché shoes he approached us and to our delight signed a baguette.
