Design Bridge deserves recognition too

While not wanting to take the gloss off Stand’s recent mention in the Hot 50 (DW 3 November), the Tennent’s branding work shown has been incorrectly attributed to Stand. The development of the Tennent’s brand, the design of the new bottles and the unique Tennent’s countermount shown are, in fact, the work of Design Bridge.

Design Bridge has a long-established relationship with the Tennent’s brand, having designed the iconic cropped ‘T’ brand marque, the new can and bottle designs and many of Tennent’s festival identities and off-pack branding applications. The Tennent’s countermont is one of our latest designs for the brand and the font is unique.

I am sure that Stand deserves all the accolades it has received for its work, and we congratulate Stand on its achievement. However, I do think that recognition should be given – and in this case I think the entry in the Hot 50 ignores the fantastic efforts of the team at Design Bridge by not giving correct accreditation.
