Black and Decker is to launch a new heat gun for paint-scraping. Newcastle consultancy The Product Group worked with Black and Decker’s in-house team to take the design from concept to tooling in just four months. The brief to The Product Group envisaged one unit to combine the two swing-handle and pistol-style products in the existing range. All modelmaking from concept to working model was done at The Product Group in an impressive three weeks.
