London consultancy The Artwork Company designed the International Red Cross and Red Crescent stand at last week’s inaugural Worldaid ’96 exhibition in Geneva. The 54m2 space had 5.5m high walls dominated by black and white photography of work by beneficiaries of what is the world’s largest humanitarian organisation. The exhibition includes graphic panels, interactive TV monitors, and banners sought to convey the wide variety of work undertaken by the organisation’s 110 million volunteers across the world.

The Millennium Commission has told the Victoria & Albert Museum that its controversial planned 55m extension designed by Daniel Libeskind may not be eligible for funding as it “falls within the scope of the Arts Council and Heritage Lottery Fund”.

Planet has updated identity and pack design for Stowells of Chelsea, Matthew Clark Taunton’s wine brand. The brief was to modernise the graphics on the existing boxes of wine, and also to ‘communicate the repeat quality of glass after glass of wine at the heart of the brand’, says the Hammersmith consultancy’s creative director Bill Wallsgrove. Stowells will also introduce a new Planet-designed bar font (pictured) in the run-up to Christmas. The new family of boxes will roll out on-shelf in the next few weeks – ‘as soon as they get the wine in’, confirms Wallsgrove.

Nottingham sailing and leisure clothing company Douglas Gill’s brochure is designed by Southampton’s Selling Ideas.

RPA Europe designed the new identity for Tesco’s Express format and not Crabtree Hall (DW 4 October). Crabtree Hall is working on interiors for the supermarket brand.
