RSCG Conran to expand Oasis

High street fashion retailer Oasis plans to carry on using RSCG Conran Design when it puts its expansion strategy into action.

Oasis chairman Michael Bennett confirms that he wants to open 50 new stores in the medium term. His comments came as the retailer unveiled a 40 per cent increase in half-year profits last week.

Each store would “continue to be an evolution rather than a roll-out of one concept”, he says. “We’ve deliberately made each branch individual – I don’t want to wake up one morning with a 100 out-of-date stores,” he said at a conference held by market research group Verdict last week.

RSCG Conran Design is working on concepts for the chain’s stores in Abu Dhabi and a shop planned in Saudi Arabia.
