Groups decorate Art Attack brand

Big Idea and Volcano have developed the branding and identity for a range of paints and kits for children’s rooms, carried exclusively by B&Q, which launch this week.

Art Attack – My Room is a decorative range through which children can explore their creative potential. It comprises base wall paints, toolboxes, stencils, stickers and brushes, plus heat-sensitive and glow-in-the-dark effects.

B&Q initially devised the concept after identifying TV show Art Attack as a suitable vehicle and securing a licensing agreement with brand-owner Hit Entertainment.

Working in conjunction with Volcano, Big Idea designed packaging, literature and point-of-sale communication.

‘Big Idea acted as the strategic consultant, giving creative guidance and stating the context, and Volcano was responsible for the execution,’ explains Big Idea creative director Bill Wallsgrove.

Wallsgrove says the brief was to appeal to both parents’ willingness to empower children and kids’ desire for greater involvement in decorating their room.
