West Sussex consultancy Maddison has created structural packaging for homeopathic medicine supplier A Nelson & Co. Graphics are by Lippa Pearce.
The clikpak dispenser allows users to pop one pill at a time into a dosage cap by clicking on a button at the end of its cylinder.
Nelsons sales and marketing director Anna Maxwell says, “Its contemporary look will bring new users into the market.”
Maddison managing director Philip Stankus adds, “We needed a touchy-feely, hi-tech pack, with obvious medicinal brand values.” He believes the dispenser conveys a more serious and pharmaceutical image – an important factor in emphasising the credibility of complementary medicines.
The UK’s complementary medicine market, of which homeopathy is a substantial sector, has doubled in size in the last five years giving rise to a plethora of new design opportunities.
