Glasgow group Tank director Stuart Gilmore is the latest victim of the namesake epidemic currently sweeping through the design industry. Happy in the delusion that his was the only Tank around, Gilmore came across a Design Week Diary story last week detailing rolling stone, Kate Irving’s appointment to a Tank in London (DW 4 September). ‘I kind of wondered what was going on,’ admits Gilmore. ‘Do you know much about them?’
We duly passed on the London Tank’s telephone number. Maybe they’ll join forces.
Science and food have also fallen prey to this strange namesake syndrome with the recent launch of a second Fusion and a group named Eg.G (DW 31 July).
Which came first, the Eg.G or the Egg?
