You couldn’t possibly accuse designer and director Paul d’Auria of not getting a life.

D’Auria has worked with top comedian folk like Rory Bremner, Jack Dee, Jo Brand and Lenny Henry, not to mention Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders. These “in-people” may be in attendance at his party on 17 May – and everyone reading Diary is invited.

It’s called Get A Life Party because by rights d’Auria should be dead by now.

He has cancer and was given six months to live in 1992. “My oncologist can’t work out how I’m still here. And as far as he’s concerned I’ve defied medical science,” says d’Auria.

Tickets for the Get a Life Party cost 30 each to raise money for his treatment and for cancer research. And it’s being held at the London Transport Museum with music, dancing, food and an auction.

Attendance and/or donations are welcome. Call d’Auria on 0171-207 2736 for details.
