Bar Lifthouse to open in May

Quinn Architecture has created the interiors and furniture for bar Lifthouse at 85 Charterhouse Street in London.

The bar opens in the first week of May and is situated in a late-1950s former office block overlooking Smithfield Market. Quinn Architecture partner Laurence Quinn says the front of the bar features ‘chic, modern stable doors’. The dark colour scheme offsets the angular original features. He says, ‘The look we’re trying to create is of an unpretentious, Adolf Loos-type market bar.’
