Captive Communication has designed a new quarterly product and services brochure for Orange Switzerland in what is believed to be a six-figure design investment by the company.
All About Orange, which was released this week, streamlines the communications network’s product literature from 20 brochures to a single 44-page booklet.
Andreas Calvori, partner at Captive Communication, says the brief was to simplify and clarify the company’s sales information.
Calvori says, ‘There was an information overflow and staff and clients couldn’t distinguish what was new and what was old.
‘We’ve created a clear information hierarchy and taken a pragmatic approach to information presentation with simple to follow categories.’
Designer Michael Kaltenhauser says the biggest challenge was effective reader guidance through a variety of complex topics.
Kaltenhauser says, ‘Our main objective was to make it quick and easy for users to find the information. We’ve used highlighting techniques in different ways so the pages don’t get repetitive or boring, but so it has a consistent feel.’
The new booklet will act as the reference source for all services and products available from Orange Switzerland and will be used in point-of-sale and sales and marketing activity.
Captive Communications won the business in a three-way creative pitch in December 2001 and is also working on other projects for the company.
