Yorkshire taxi design and image driven by Ratdesign

It was good to see Design Yorkshire mentioned in the pages of Design Week once again, particularly your editorial (DW 28 March).

I too am biased by being born in Huddersfield and was at the presentation in Leeds in my capacity as former DY board member and chairman of the Design Yorkshire Taxi Project.

It is true that the students at Huddersfield University completed a taxi project, but the design of the Yorkshire Taxi and the images that were used in all the publicity were actually mine – design of exterior – and my fellow colleague Dave Curtis’, who designed the interior of the taxi.
