Screen branding for Belgacom TV’s national football television coverage in Belgium this season has been designed by BBC Broadcast. It launched last Thursday across five channels. The branding, which also kicks off Belgacom’s move into broadcasting, is centred on a white football expanding into a sequence of action highlights, surrounded in the air by the ball’s hexagons. ‘The aim of the visual brand is to encompass and enliven the excitement involved in national football by developing a range of stings and sequences that clearly brand the coverage,’ says BBC Broadcast creative director Jane Fielder.
