T5op promotions as MTA expands

MTA Design’s client services director Ibrahim Ibrahim has been promoted to managing director, allowing chairman Maurice Acton to concentrate more fully on his role as chairman.

The group is expecting to fill several other senior positions at its London office by a combination of new appointments and further promotions.

Since separating from Marcello Minale, the former Minale Tattersfield & Acton group has concentrated on corporate and retail identity activities (DW 13 June).

It now plans to start building up a UK-based product design arm in the new year, and is expected to make a senior product design appointment.

There are also plans to expand its operation in the Far East by around 80 per cent, taking an additional floor in its Singapore office building. And a new office in Baku, Azerbaijan, is to open in the first quarter of 1998.
