Redhouse Lane branches out into CSFT literature

Redhouse Lane’s Glasgow office has won a six-way pitch to design next year’s Annual Report and Forest Review publications for the Central Scotland Forest Trust. The design group was selected from a final shortlist of three.

CSFT, which won this year’s Employer of the Year Award, is seeking to transform the belt of land through central Scotland via a series of initiatives including planting trees, landscaping, general conservation and other environmental projects.

Redhouse Lane designer Ian Melville says the publications, which will be published in March, will be designed as a profile-raising tool for the trust, with the report targeting stakeholders and opinion formers, and Forest Review aimed more squarely at the general public.

‘Bearing in mind the trust’s objectives to highlight progress on the project, we suggested using sections such as a photographic ‘then and now’ feature, which would show readers, at a glance, what has been achieved so far,’ says Melville.

CSFT manages the environmental interests of the forest, which stretches between Edinburgh, Glasgow, Falkirk and Lanark.
