Thank-you Jim Davies for mentioning us in his article ‘how design consultancies came up with their names’ (DW 20 November).
In our case, it was an opportunity too good to miss… why spend days thinking up weird and wacky combinations when we were born with them? In addition, when Ian Fuggle and I set up the company ten years ago with 20p in the bank, using your own names was cheaper than registering one!
Although we were a little embarrassed at the hilarity it caused with potential clients in the beginning, we have come to love it – even the misspellings take pride of place on our corkboard.
Surprisingly, we had no trouble at all registering www.hudson fuggle.com. Can’t think why?!
