Bad design should get its just reward – a critical panning

Is there such a thing as a bad design award?

I would like to nominate the manufacturer of my three loo seats which have broken due to bad design, and which can’t be changed without uprooting the entire loo out of the wall, again due to bad design, thereby costing me £70 a seat plus a minimum of £200 for a London plumber to come and do the work.

I’m serious. There is no excuse for bad design and this seems to be my only recourse in this particular situation.
