Hospitality award served to RPW
Design and architecture group RPW has won the first Hospitality Design Award, organised by Reed Exhibitions and GS Magazine, for its redesign of a training restaurant for catering students.
The Oxford Brookes School of Hotel and Restaurant Management uses the restaurant to provide students with experience of working in a genuine professional kitchen environment. Members of the public can eat a three-course meal in the restaurant for 10.
The judges for the award commended RPW’s handling of the limited budget redesign, which transformed a plain institutional space into a fashionable and contemporary one.
