Web portal to study the Philosophy

Saatchi & Saatchi Design breakaway Philosophy has been appointed to create the brand identity for an on-line business-to-business portal by three European building materials producers.

Saatchi & Saatchi Design breakaway Philosophy has been appointed to create the brand identity for an on-line business-to-business portal by three European building materials producers: RMC Group, Lafarge and Heidelberger Zement.

The £100 000 project includes the name for the portal, which will launch in September 2001. It aims to serve markets in France, Germany and the UK before expanding worldwide. It serves customers, suppliers and distributors trading in cement products. Philosophy was chosen after a five-way pitch against unnamed European consultancies.

Philosophy has also won work from existing client Premier Oil, to produce its annual report following a four-way creative pitch.

The consultancy has made three appointments following the wins, including Gary Ingram from Saatchi & Saatchi Design, where he was senior designer.

“We intend to grow organically, according to new projects that we win,” says director Sara Woods.
