Rodney Fitch Design Consultants is working on two new projects for the Virgin Group.

The consultancy is designing the identity for Virgin Express, the European economy airline bought by the Virgin Group in May. And it has also started work on an identity for V2, Virgin’s new record label.

A temporary identity is being used by Virgin Express while the final identity is developed, says the consultancy’s director Gabriel Murray. A Virgin spokeswoman says the final identity will be used on two planes by September.

No launch date has yet been set for the record label V2, but an interim letterhead design is with the company, adds Murray.

The FM Group, which was thought to be pitching for the V2 work, was not involved.
