Brighton-based consultancy Red Design, in collaboration with Jason Evans, has created album artwork for cult Krautrockers Fujiya & Miyagi’s debut album, Electro Karaoke in the Negative Style.

The work plays on the Japanese style of the band’s name and its quirky and irreverent approach to music, according to Red Design partner Ed Templeton. Photographs were taken in Japan and typography was integrated in a stylised and lo-tech way, he adds.

With photography and art direction by Evans, the album, from Massive Advance Records, will be released in late August.
