Browns has created the brand identity for environmental organisation The Climate Group, as it moves to ramp up its presence in the international arena.
The Surrey-based, non-profit group, which launched in November, seeks to educate and provide practical solutions for governments and corporations eager to reduce their CO2 emissions.
‘There are a lot of people doing good work, but no-one knows about it,’ says Climate Group communications director Alison Lucas. ‘We intend to be the place where people can come to [learn] about what others are doing.’
Lucas says she briefed Browns to design an identity that projected a ‘business-like, hard-hitting image’ and stood out from the ‘blue and green world’ of other environmental groups.
Browns creative director Nick Jones says the logo alludes to the temperature rise that results from unchecked CO2 emissions.
