BDP Design has produced a comprehensive guide to Job Centre design for The Employment Service, which is responsible for over 1000 centres throughout the UK. The publication is aimed at business managers, staff, designers and contractors. It details essential information regarding customer service, corporate identity, layout, health and safety and disability issues (DW 10 December 1999). It also addresses day-to-day topics such as creating storage space. Communications specialist Redhouse Lane was also involved in the project, editing and copywriting text, as well as scripting and producing a video created to accompany the guide.
