Europe’s first Web-based comedy site launched

Europe’s first Web-based comedy channel, Ha Ha Bonk, has been launched by former Sunbather and Razorfish creative director Mike Bennett’s group Empty Space.

The site, at www.hahabonk.com, uses animations and short films from established and up and coming writers, such as the 11′ O Clock Show’s Mackenzie Crook. It features live performances, listings, a ticketing service and a chat room. Content can be accessed by text messaging, WAP devices, and will also be fed to Freeserve ADSL broadband trials.
