Soar joins expanding Fishburn Hedges

Fishburn Hedges Design has appointed its first creative director as it embarks on a repositioning and expansion of its business.

Robert Soar (pictured), who worked as creative director at FutureBrand and Enterprise IG before setting up his own company, Soar Design, has joined the consultancy to oversee the design function.

Previously, responsibility for creativity was shared by a number of design directors. The appointment of Soar will allow the company to expand its offering and raise its creative profile, according to Fishburn Hedges managing director Adrian Day.

Day joined the consultancy last November and has embarked on a recruitment process, ahead of a repositioning of the design company.

‘I’ve been putting people in place to allow us to broaden our offering and grow as a business,’ he says.

He is looking to leverage design opportunities from internal clients within the Fishburn Hedges communications portfolio, as well as broadening its external offering.

‘We have a strong base in corporate reporting and will look to grow that, as well as branding and broader corporate design opportunities,’ Day adds.

Project manager Emily Lau and new business manager Daniel Dimmock have also recently joined the company, and Sally Robson has been promoted to client services director.

Fishburn Hedges Design is part of the Fishburn Hedges Group, a communication consultancy that includes BAA and Barclays among its client base.
