Foster awarded lifetime honour

Architect Lord Norman Foster has been awarded the Prince Philip Designers Prize for lifetime achievement in design for business and society. The Duke of Edinburgh presented him with the prize at a ceremony at the Design Council on 4 November.

Foster was selected from six finalists, which included furniture designer Robin Day and typographer Matthew Carter, both of whom received special commendations.
