Consortium nets website project

The New Millennium Experience Company, which is behind the Greenwich celebrations, has appointed a consortium to a 150 000 per year website design project after a five-way free creative pitch.

The Longitude0 Consortium, formed of Denison Design, Longitude0 and Limitless Technical Dimensions, won the pitch against competitors including Webworks. Development of the website for a mid-October launch is now underway, says a New Millennium Experience spokesman.

Within the consortium, Denison represents the design arm of the consortium, Limitless Technical Dimensions provides design architecture and engineering and Longitude0 co-ordinates and provides administrative services. Denison director Tessa Denison says the consortium has been planned for two years.

Features of the site will include information and details regarding the Greenwich celebrations, progress reports, games, a visitor centre, booking and travel information, and environmental implications of the development.
