Is there not a divide developing in the perceived professionalism of marketing and design? Industry bodies have positioned marketing as a profession that has become an essential part of business.

Design, meanwhile, still has an image that trivialises its importance and denies it the accolade of being known as a profession.

The blame must, in part, lay at the door of design consultancies which have failed to understand the future value of design will be directly linked to its ability to become an integrated part of the business and marketing process.

NewshamGore has always believed marketing and design are linked and it has encouraged training in and recruitment from the marketing discipline.
