Jerwood win for Helen Maurer
Glass designer Helen Maurer has won the Jerwood Arts Prize. Maurer was chosen because her work (Underworld Overhead pictured), judges say, ‘opens up a new horizon for [those] working in glass’.
Next year’s £15 000 Jerwood Prize award will be presented to a furniture designer.
