2 Paul Cartwright Branding has designed the branding and packaging for food manufacturer Lóngé, which launches its first range of Nigerian snacks this week.


3 London department store Selfridges is launching a Designer Toy Lounge on 12 October, which it claims will tap into the growing subculture of designer and vinyl toys in the UK. The store is aiming to be the first to take the concept into the mainstream, with a minimal white retail space designed by its in-house team. Pictured are the Yota Dolls for Momiji range.


4  The Society of Designer Craftsmen is celebrating its 120th anniversary with 120, an exhibition featuring work by new and established designer artists. The show runs until 18 October at the SDC Gallery, Rivington Street, London EC2.


5 Illustration show Hot Rods and Hairy Beasts, with work by Linzie Hunter, Allan Sanders, Rod Hunt and Nishant Choksi, opens at the Coningsby Gallery, Tottenham Street, London W1 on 29 September, and runs until 4 October.
