Active Communities refreshed by Dragon

Dragon Brands has revamped the identity for the Active Communities Directorate, the Home Office department for the voluntary sector.

The identity (below), designed to convey what are deemed to be the characteristics of thriving communities – positive action and strength – launches this week. The rebrand will seek to reinforce positive messaging for local communities and voluntary sector organisations.

Dragon Brands is applying it across the range of the ACD’s internal and external communications.

‘The ACD is working to strengthen the contribution that voluntary and community activity makes to a healthy civil society, and our new brand identity signals our commitment to this,’ says Helen Edwards, director general of the Home Office Communities Group.

‘The ACD supports voluntary and community sector organisations, in many cases through grant funding, and we hope that they will be able to make use of the new brand identity,’ she continues.

Research for the rebranding project was undertaken by Research Works.
