Collect, the Crafts Council’s annual international fair, will take place at the Saatchi Gallery in London on 15-17 May.

1 Collect, the Crafts Council’s annual international fair, will take place at the Saatchi Gallery in London on 15-17 May. It will feature work by more than 300 designers and artists, including Miriam Hanid, Joe Hogan, Michael Geertsen and Hiroshi Suzuki (whose work is pictured).

2 Stuart MacDonald, head of Gray’s School of Art in Aberdeen and former director of The Lighthouse in Glasgow, is exhibiting his latest artworks, inspired by Aberdeen’s layout, at Domestic Architecture, which runs at the city’s Hamnavøe Gallery until 27 February.

3 The Cornwall Hotel, Spa & Estate opens on 14 February, featuring 22 woodland holiday homes designed by architect AWW. A total of 60 homes are planned for the site, near the Eden Project in Cornwall.

4 Cornish consultancy Creative Edge has designed a card game that aims to raise the career aspirations of primary and secondary school children. The consultancy has worked with education charity Ablaze and sponsor GE to create the teaching aid, which is on trial in Bristol schools with the aim of being rolled out nationwide.
