Barr pledges to spend

Scottish soft drinks group AG Barr is pledging to up its marketing spend on Barr Soft Drinks brands after investment in the past year saw the group announce a 63 per cent rise in profits this week.

In 1993 the company invested in its first new corporate identity in 30 years with a design by Coley Porter Bell. Barr brands include Tizer and Irn-Bru, which was repackaged last year by Leeds group Pilot Design.
