On-screen branding for Home Choice
BBC MediaArc has created the on-screen branding for the BBC section of UK pay-per-view digital entertainment channel Home Choice, which is expected to launch in August.
The consultancy was briefed to design an ident lasting three to five seconds that could turn into a menu background for the text navigation system, from which viewers are able to select BBC videos.
‘[BBC Worldwide] wanted something friendly and personal, while still reflecting the BBC brand values of excellence and quality,’ says senior designer Liz Friedman.
MediaArc, which is the BBC’s in-house design consultancy and which recently repositioned itself as a conventional creative consultancy (DW 3 May) won the work without a pitch.
